I'm working through a difficult sermon. The one thing I dislike about supply preaching (I'm down in Granum -- about two hours to the south -- this Sunday) is that it's completely without context. I have NO idea what the congregation's about.
Ah well. Should be fun.

I hear you! I'm out in Rainier and Rolling Hills this Sunday - it's so hard to write a generic sermon! lol but the good news is that you can get away with a bit more since they don't know what to expect from you either! Love them and leave them as one person I know says. :)
That's true as far as it goes. But then again, the gospel is the gospel. Good for all seasons and time zones.
